Introduction The fastest-growing cities in the world at the end of the 20th century were concentrated in East and South-East Asia, with almost all of the fastest-growing cities in these regions being in China. It can be said that China is going through a period of “great leap forward” in urban construction and development. This reflects the rapid development of China’s economy from one aspect.
