黄河大铁牛即唐开元铁牛,亦称唐代铁牛,位于永济市城西15公里,蒲州城西的黄河古道两岸,各4尊。黄河大铁牛铸于唐开元十三年(725年),为稳固蒲津浮桥,维系秦晋交通而铸。元末桥毁,久置不用,故习称“镇河铁牛”。因黄河变迁,逐渐为泥沙埋没。20世纪八九十年代,永济市博物馆经过数次考古发掘,让这些大铁牛在蒲津渡遗址上重见天日,成为目前我国出土的第一个大型古渡口遗址铁制文物。出土有4尊铁牛、4个铁人、2座铁山、1组七星铁柱和3个土石夯堆。
The Yellow River big tractor is the Tang Kaiyuan tractor, also known as the tractor of the Tang Dynasty. It is located 15 kilometers west of Yongji City and 4 sides of the Yellow River Trail in the west of Puzhou City. The Yellow River bull iron was cast in Tang Kaiyuan thirteen years (725), in order to stabilize the Pujin pontoon, to maintain the Qin Jin traffic and cast. Unearthed with 4 Tieniu, 4 Iron Man, 2 Tieshan, a group of seven-star iron column and three soil ramming pile.
