Located on the outskirts of the Philippines, the Mayan Ranch is a privately owned company that processes and manages canned meat for livestock products. In order to control the excrement to pollute the environment and recycle the waste, 10 biogas (fermentation) facilities were built there, producing 75,000 cubic feet of biogas and 4 tons of feed each day. In addition, two biogas digesters for handling 17,000 pigs are under construction. The total biogas capacity designed for daily production is 51,000 cubic feet. It is planned to increase the number of pigs to more than 30,000, ducks to 60,000 and goats to 500 in the next three years. Biogas Engineering In order to find the most suitable biogas fermentation equipment for local conditions, a team of experts (composed of chemists, microbiologists and engineers) worked together to develop a contingency plan for research and development and various laboratories were established. 1.
