[British Applied Atomic Report, December 23, 1980] A spokesman for the Geological Survey of Sri Lanka stated that some uranium-rich deposits have been discovered in five areas of the country’s coast. A detailed survey is scheduled to start next month to determine the quantity and quality of the deposits and the economic possibility of mining these deposits.
