A substation landslide is located on the slope of the right bank of the Jinsha River. The landslide is 70 meters long and 120 meters wide. The maximum depth of the sliding surface is 20.8 meters. The landslide occurred in 1976 and developed after the 1978 rainy season. Prior to remediation, landslides were in a peristaltic compression stage, which has jeopardized the safety of substations. Once a large slippage occurs, the substation will collapse and the trailing edge of the ancient landslide will be towed, even affecting the living quarters of the refrigeration plant. The landslide has two characteristics: first, it is located on the ancient landslide, and the ancient slippery surface is deep; second, it is in a peristaltic compression stage before the remediation; the perimeter of the slide body is unclear and the new slip surface is not yet finished.
