In our country, especially in recent years, with the influx of a large number of migrant workers in urban areas and the corresponding research, the issue of “discrimination against migrant workers” began to receive the attention of all sectors of society. Migrant workers, as a third group different from peasants and citizens, are institutionalized and objectified, and the consequent various cultural and institutional discrimination is also problematic. The purpose of this paper is to explore the practical logic and internal mechanism behind the “peasant workers” problem. In this regard, the author takes the issue of discrimination against migrant workers in the city as an entry point and considers it as a problem for migrant workers to integrate into the cities in Shanghai. The author tries to explore the relationship between migrant workers and peasants Workers "and urban residents groups to analyze and explain the differences. The author believes that placing migrant workers in urban and rural areas under the path of continuous unification in order to explore their discrimination in the city can be regarded as a new way of thinking.
