本文综述了有关光纤空间相干性问题的理论研究。分别用几何光学方法和模式理论,在非相干和相干激发两种情况下,讨论了光纤出射端面处相干函数的表达式。分析了这两种情况的区别,介绍了光纤相干性测试中通用的实验手段和一些典型的结果。简述了空间相干性概念在光纤折射率分布和截止波长测量中的应用,对这类测量方法的特点进行了分析。
This paper reviews the theoretical research on the coherence of optical fiber. The geometrical optics method and the mode theory are used respectively to discuss the expression of the coherence function at the exit face of the fiber under incoherent and coherent excitation. The differences between the two cases are analyzed. The common experimental methods and some typical results in the fiber coherence test are introduced. The application of the concept of spatial coherence in fiber refractive index distribution and cutoff wavelength measurement is briefly described. The characteristics of this kind of measurement method are analyzed.
