记忆分为私人的记忆和分担的记忆,或者说,个人的记忆和集体的记忆。两者都是在面对过去的一种陈述中发生的,是对过去的一种重新阅读。集体的记忆以当前为目的,是证实集体成员的同一身份、巩固他们之间联系的一种社会活动,对历史的记忆随群体面对的一些问题而有选择地重塑。个人从所属群体的过去中所回想的,主要是群体向其成员所传输的,这种记忆不建立在个人的回忆之上。
Memory is divided into private memory and shared memory, or, personal memory and collective memory. Both happen in the face of the past and as a reread of the past. Collective memory, for the present purpose, is a kind of social activity that confirms the identity of collective members and strengthens the connection between them. The memory of history is selectively reshaped according to some problems faced by the group. Recalling from the past of the group to which the individual was mainly concerned is the transmission of the group to its members, this memory is not based on personal memories.
