Rapid capacity expansionWith the rapid increase of demand forpentaerythritol in downstream sectors,China’s production capacity ofpentaerythritol has grown rapidly sincethe 1990s.The scale of single unit has beenlarger and larger and the production tech-nologies have also upgraded considerably.The production capacity ofpentaerythritol in China was only 50 000t/a in 1997,but reached 290 000 t/a inAugust 2008.
