Fe-3B-5Si是1975年研制成功的用于生产非晶态材料的合金,它是大量生产非晶态材料最有希望的成分。用这种合金生产的非晶态材料具有异乎寻常的优良磁性,在相同条件下,这种非晶态材料的铁损仅为目前最佳取向硅钢片的1/3。这种非晶态材料迄今不能在感应变压器上大量应用的主要原因是这种合金的生产成本太高,而成本高的原因又主要是硼铁的价格太贵(每公斤硼37.5美元)。原来这种Fe-3B-5Si合金的生产方法必须以电解铁或其它高纯铁作炉料,添加硼铁合金化,仅硼铁的费用就占液态合金成本的60~80%。
Fe-3B-5Si was developed in 1975 for the production of amorphous alloy materials, it is mass production of amorphous materials, the most promising ingredients. Amorphous materials made from this alloy have unusually good magnetic properties, and under the same conditions, the iron loss of this amorphous material is only one-third that of currently preferred oriented silicon steel sheets. The main reason that this amorphous material has so far not been able to be used in large quantities on induction transformers is that the production cost of this alloy is too high and the high cost is mainly due to the high price of ferroboron ($ 37.5 per kilogram of boron). The original production method of this Fe-3B-5Si alloy must be electrolytic iron or other high-purity iron as a charge, adding ferroboron alloy, ferroboron alone accounted for the cost of liquid alloy 60-80% of the cost.
