赛诗会在今天已不能算是一件新的事情了,作为一种群众诗歌创作的活动方式,1958年它曾在全国各地群众中普遍地开过花。1958年的赛诗会的形式是多种多样的,有几个人十几个人的小型赛诗会,如炉前赛诗会、田头赛诗会,甚至还有家庭赛诗会等;有几十人几百人的中型赛诗会,那是一个工厂、一个公社、一个地区举行的赛诗会;有上千人几千人的大型赛诗会,例如内蒙古百万民歌展览月中就曾举行有二千人参加的赛诗会;还有全县性的群众广播赛诗会,这种赛诗会借现代化工具的帮助,可以有更多的群众卷入进去。赛诗会在1958年的群众创作运动中,曾经起过非常积极的作用。
