明代大土司促使贵州建省的重要人物田宗鼎田宗鼎(?-1413),明代思南宣慰使,字重器,思南人。明洪武二十八年(1395)袭思南宣慰使职,获赠怀远将军。田宗鼎迷信仙术,与田琦同师陈真人习炼金丹于万圣山中.常随陈真人于九溪山中采药。明永乐九年(1411)与思州宣慰使田琛为争务川朱砂坑互相争斗,战事连续数年,朝廷多次调解无效,于永乐十一年(1413),命镇远侯顾成以五万大兵镇压,田宗鼎被查办。
