Objective To investigate the traumatic psychological stress caused by flight accidents in military pilots and to understand the characteristics of post-traumatic stress symptoms among pilots in flight, so as to provide a scientific basis for the psychological crisis intervention of pilots. Methods A total of 723 pilots were surveyed using PTSD-SS. Results A total of 99 pilots who experienced flight accidents and had clinical symptoms and PTSD> 50 points had a positive rate of 13.7%. The heaviest and most severe symptoms most commonly reported by pilots after an accident were primarily psychological symptoms of varying severity. Among them, the top three symptoms are: “event hit the spirit (4.9%)”, “think of the event fear fear (4.3%)” and “memory loss (3.1%)”. Conclusion The pilots who experienced the accident were those with higher incidence of psychological stress symptoms. Repeated recurrence of experience increased the need for timely intervention and treatment.
