TI公司(位于美国得州的Dallas)生产的16位DSP芯片系列320C55x,由于采用了新的芯核,并采用了新的工艺技术制造,省电效果显著;如果用于无线电话手机或其它便携式电子产品,即使增加了新的功能,仍然可以减少电池的电能消耗,减轻电池的重量。据该公司报道:此类芯片与现有的C54x系列芯片相比,性能可以达到5倍,而电能的消耗只有原来的六分之一。
The 320C55x, a 16-bit DSP chip family from Texas Instruments (Dallas, TX), produces significant power savings due to the new core technology and the new process technology. If used in wireless handsets or other portable Electronic products, even with the addition of new features, can still reduce battery power consumption and reduce battery weight.
