北京市朝阳区芳草地国际学校的前身为芳草地小学,始建于1956年。1973年在周恩来总理的亲切关怀下,学校开始大规模接收外籍及港澳台地区学生入学。1981年被认定为北京市重点小学。2008年经北京市朝阳区教委批准更名为芳草地国际学校,实施集团化办学。2009年胡锦涛总书记到校视察,慰问中外师生。学校以“开放融合、名师荟萃”享誉海内外,被誉为“小小联合国”和“世界小窗口”。
Beijing Chaoyang District Fangcao International School, formerly known as Grass Road primary school, was founded in 1956. In 1973, under the cordial concern of Premier Zhou Enlai, the school started to admit large numbers of foreign students and students from Hong Kong, Maucao and Taiwan regions. 1981 was identified as key city of Beijing. In 2008, Chaoyang District Board of Education approved the change of name to Fangcaodi International School and implemented group-based schooling. In 2009, President Hu Jintao attended the inspection and condolences to teachers and students both at home and abroad. The school is known as “Little United Nations” and “Little Window of the World” with its reputation of being “open and integrated, renowned for its masters” at home and abroad.
