亚东图书馆是一家出版机构,它以标点古旧小说出名,以至鲁迅也说,标点要让汪原放,作序要推胡适之,出版则只能由亚东图书馆。汪原放是亚东的编辑,也是亚东老板汪孟邹(1877-1953)的侄儿。亚东原本是一家不太起眼的小书店,可是却在“五四”来潮时在中国近代出版业中木秀于林。汪孟邹曾说到他对于新书业发生兴趣的原因,也就是接受新思想的原因。他从阅读当时的新书和新报中,对新书业产生了浓厚的兴趣,以至于要投身于新书业。“新书业与中国文化关系很密切”,大概可说是他的一个出版理念,由此可见他接受新思想与从事新书业差不多是同步的。除了汪孟邹这个老板的因素而外,因缘际会,亚东还得助于两个风云人物。这两个人就是陈独秀与胡适之。如果说亚东是一艘出版之
