Extending the timing of breastfeeding is a practice in Ghana and other developing countries that seeks to provide babies with an abundance of nutrients to prevent malnutrition due to diseases such as diarrhea caused by contamination of weaned food and unreasonable formulation. However, the incidence of malnutrition in infants younger than breast-feeding for 3 to 6 months was observed as low. How long does it take to breastfeed? The author conducted a study in South Africa in a city in Ghana and on the relationship between prolonged breastfeeding and infant malnutrition
