丹参为唇形科植物丹参Salvia mileiorrhiza Bge的干燥根及根茎。根茎短粗,顶端有时残留茎基,根数条,长圆柱形。表面砖红色或暗棕红色,粗糙,具不规则的纵皱纹,外皮有时呈鳞状剥落。质硬而脆,易折断,断面略平坦而致密,皮部棕红色,本部灰黄色或紫褐色,导管束黄褐色,放射状排列。气微,味微苦涩。1 粉末鉴别 本品粉末红棕色,石细胞多个散在或成对,形状不一,有的胞腔含棕色物,导管为网纹导管及具缘纹孔怀管,木纤维多成束,长棱形,木栓细胞表面呈类方形或多角形,排列整齐。
