按照GAP标准,建立优质中药材种植基地,是我国中药现代化建设的重要内容,其中种植基地选择是进行中药材GAP生产的基础。广金钱草以地上部分入药,植株主要含有黄酮、生物碱、酚类、鞣质、多糖等成分,具有清热除湿、利尿通淋。用于热淋、砂淋、石淋、小便涩痛、水肿尿少、黄疸尿赤、尿路结石等。广金钱草是广西的主产药材,人工种植已近四十年。近几年来,年种植面积3 000多亩,药材产量1 000吨以上。
