7号高炉自1977年投产至1992年4月完善性大修停炉的15年来,由于各种原因使生产一直处于不稳定状态,各项经济技术指标不好,高炉寿命很短。在此次大修中应用了陶瓷杯炉缸、烧结机尾过筛、沟下风力过筛、炉顶中心加焦等技术;并进行了炉型优化设计,引用双炉身角、深死铁层、矮炉喉,炉身采用第三代冷却壁和炉衬测厚技术;选用较小的风口面积,合理地加重边缘,维持较高的风压和压差,灵活地调剂批重,制定了合理的基本制度,加之强化管理,精心操作,使该炉开炉后的1992年6~10月份各项经济技术指标均达到历史最好水平。
