日本在明治维新后走上“文明开化”和“富国强兵”之路,效仿西方列强在海外开拓殖民地,而此时中国在鸦片战争后势力逐渐衰落,日本通过一系列的侵略战争和事变一步步的实现对外殖民扩张,发展其“征韩侵华”的大陆政策,走上了帝国主义的道路。因此在日本近代史上大量的对华殖民理论应运而生,成为指导日本侵略的理论基础。
