“京剧要提倡阳刚之美!”中国戏剧家协会副主席刘厚生在去年12月1日由本刊召开的就战友京剧团优秀高派老生演员辛宝达的演出探讨高派艺术的座谈会上,表示了这样一个殷切的期望。的确,近几年来,京剧界旦角如云,而老生、花脸等行当则比较缺乏人才,这是首都戏剧界共同关心的问题。因此,当本刊近年看到北京军区政治部战友京剧团老生演员辛宝达主演一些高派剧目如《哭秦庭》《逍遥津》等做出的优秀成绩后,于去年11月30日组织了一场向首都戏剧界及广大观众推荐辛宝达的专场演出,并就辛宝达演出的《哭秦庭》一剧召集戏剧界领导、评论家举行了座谈。
