消费者是铁面无情的,他们不关心他们用的家用电器是用32位RISC处理器控制的,还是用模糊逻辑控制的。消费者所希望的仅仅是功能、价格、方便和可靠。消费类产品,从吹风机一直到汽车无所不包,产量动辄几十万台,甚至几百万台,因而其成本是十分关键的。哪怕某一产品的制造成本削减5分钱,制造商也可节省大量的资金。任何能满足消费类产品上述主要需求的设计策略都值得考虑。
Consumers are ruthless, they do not care if the appliances they use are controlled with a 32-bit RISC processor or with fuzzy logic. What consumers want is functionality, price, convenience and reliability. The cost of consumer products, ranging from hair dryers to cars, is hundreds of thousands of units or even millions of units, making their cost critical. Even if a product manufacturing costs cut by 5 cents, manufacturers can save a lot of money. Any design strategy that meets the major needs of consumer products is worth considering.
