蓟县西路庄电镀厂是一个村办企业。自1973年建厂以来,在十几年的发展过程中,这个广十分重视环境保护和职工的身体健康,使企业稳步发展。目前该厂已从原来有1.7万元的资产,发展到70余万元,从业人员也从原来的8名扩大到100多名。1986年年产值70多万元,获纯利16万元,职工平均月收入207元.电镀行业在生产过程中存在着铬、酸、氰化物、粉尘等多种有害因素。对环境及职工健康威胁很大,稍有忽视就会发生严重的环境污染及职业中毒
