托伦旧市政厅前的哥白尼青铜雕像,似在诉说着人类对科学和真理的不懈追求。2013年是伟大的天文学家哥白尼诞辰540周年,同时也是他逝世以及他的著名天文学著作《天体运行论》问世470周年。波兰全国各地举办一系列活动,纪念这位曾经改变了人类宇宙观的伟人。
Copernican bronze statues in front of Torun’s Old Town Hall seem to tell the unrelenting pursuit of humankind for science and truth. The year of 2013 marks the 540th anniversary of the birth of the great astronomer Copernicus, as well as the 470th anniversary of his death and the publication of his famous Astros Theory. A series of events have been held throughout Poland to mark the great man who once changed the human universe.
