清远是一个美丽的地方。古代越过南岭,沿小北江南下,是从中原进入广东的重要通道。历史上南来北往的商贾官吏、迁客骚人,纷纷在这里留下了足印,播下了文明的种子。这里曾经是戏曲之乡,四方剧种在这里交汇,各路优伶在这里登台。埋下了很深的戏剧文化的根。从这本戏剧集的作品中,我们还可以隐约寻找到这种根基。我们会发现,清远的剧作者很有戏剧“细胞”,其中有的作品透出了中国传统戏曲的韵味,颇谙“优人搬弄之三昧”(李渔语)。
