Compounds containing 2-benzo [C] furan rings are a component of many of the known natural substances. 2-Benzo [C] furan can also be used as an intermediate for the synthesis of several natural products with complex structures. We have mastered many methods of synthesizing compounds containing 2-benzo [C] furan structures, and more recently palladium-catalyzed reactions of carbocyclic and heterocyclic compounds have attracted worldwide interest. However, the synthesis of a compound containing a 2-benzo [C] furan structure by a palladium reagent using a bis-ethyl-containing heterocyclic compound as an intermediate has not been reported yet. Because of our interest in potentially anti-cancer and anti-viral agents, we are concerned with several approaches to developing synthetic heterocycles. In palladium-catalyzed reactions, bis-ethylene substrates are used to synthesize carbocycles and
