自1914年美国发明了抛砂机以来,抛砂头的进砂方法及其理论研究都得到了发展。抛砂造型近七十五年的历史是:围绕着各个时期,先是要求提高叶片与弧板的使用寿命;要求减少能量的损耗;接着是要求解决切向进砂口的塞砂问题;再后是要求能抛制粘性强的型砂等。抛砂头进砂理论的研究逐个地解决了这些生产实际问题,使拋砂造型得到了推广,现又朝着与自硬砂造型综合应用方向发展。
