《怀逝者》收入胡愈之自一九四一年至一九八一年所写悼念亡友的文章十九篇。胡愈之以质朴动人的文笔,满怀深情地追忆了他们的革命情谊,介绍了这些已故者的生平和英雄业绩。笔触所到都是各个历史时期党内外著名的政治、文化、教育、新闻出版界人士,如周恩来、蔡元培、杨贤江、邹韬奋、沈钧儒、杜重远、高崇民、潘汉年、范长江等等。许多前辈、先烈,都在作者笔下栩栩如生,是真实可靠的传略史料,感人泪下的怀念文章,亦是学习近代史,进行革命传统教育的生动教材。
“Hugh deceased” income Hu Yuzhi from 1941 to 1981 written eulogy 19 articles. Hu Yuzhi with simple and touching style of writing, full of affectionately recalled their revolutionary friendship, describes the lives of these deceased and heroes performance. All the strokes come from famous political, cultural, educational and press circles inside and outside the Party in various historical periods, such as Zhou Enlai, Cai Yuanpei, Yang Xianjiang, Zou Taofen, Shen Junru, Du Zhongyuan, Gao Chongmin, Pan Hannian, Fan Changjiang and so on. Many predecessors, martyrs, are lifelike in the author’s works. They are true and reliable historical materials and touching remembered articles. They are also vivid teaching materials for studying modern history and conducting revolutionary traditional education.
