PROFIBUS-PA is internationally accepted as a standard fieldbus for process automation. Munich, June 1998: PROFIBUS-PA is currently out of Germany as a user-preferred digital process automation fieldbus. In the first quarter of 1998, the systems and field instrumentation products were installed in about 32 process industrial equipment in about 18 countries. Nearly 3,000 PA instruments were put into operation in the first quarter of 1998. A total of about 15 different control systems were installed from 11 manufacturing plants. Process equipment used by different manufacturers PA on-site instrumentation, final test instrumentation data acquisition systems and SCADA systems. These production facilities are classified by industry: mining, chemical and fine chemicals, food, sewage, metallurgy, wine making, paints, paints and adhesives
