SOLITON AND ELLIPTICAL PERIODIC SOLUTIONS TO THE MODIFIEDNONLINEAR SCHR(O)DINGER EQUATION

In this note, we have obtained the soliton and periodic solutions tothe modified nonlinear Schrdinger equation (MNLSE) and analysed thefeatures of the soliton solutions. In particular, we point out that thenonlinear Schr(o)dinger equation (NLSE) also has the dark soliton in thenegative second-order dispersion region (σ=1).
