听和说是人类进行语言交流的基本手段,是人们消化信息、吸收语言最重要的途径。但在具体的实践中,受语音、语法、词汇、教学方式等语言因素以及年龄、环境、心理状态、思维方式等非语言因素的影响,学生的语言运用能力还存在很多不足之处。从教学研究的现状看,一般教师对读写研究得多,对听说却鲜有问津。如何高效、有序、合理地安排听说内容,引导学生合理、精巧地进行语言表达,是摆在英语教师面前的重要课题。支架式教学(the Scaffolding Instruction)是建构主义理论的重要内容之一,由著名心理学家布鲁纳教授提出,
Listening and speaking are the basic means by which human beings communicate their language and are the most important way for people to digest and absorb language. However, in practical practice, due to language factors such as phonetics, grammar, vocabulary and teaching methods as well as non-verbal factors such as age, environment, mental state and way of thinking, there are still many shortcomings in students’ ability of language use. From the current situation of teaching and research, the average teacher is much more interested in reading and writing than in listening and speaking. How to arrange the listening and speaking contents effectively, orderly and reasonably and guide the students to carry out the language expression rationally and delicately is an important topic before English teachers. The Scaffolding Instruction is one of the important contents of constructivism theory. It is proposed by Professor Bruner, a famous psychologist.
