继百老汇首演和美国巡演之后,由梦工厂(Dreamworks Theatricals)和尼尔街制作公司(Neal Street Productions)联合制作的大型音乐剧《怪物史瑞克》(SHREK),在伦敦西区的皇家剧院(Theatre Royal DruryLane)上演了。与所有童话的改编过程一样,故事的细节和讲述方式发生了一些变化,此次的英文版本比原版更多了几分英伦风味。演出中,主人公——一个苏格兰食人巨妖和许多童话人物带领观众穿越森林,从史瑞克的沼泽地走到法夸国王的城堡,行至菲欧娜被火龙守护的高塔,再进入宫廷和教堂。诙谐幽默的剧本和设计将一个经典的童话故事成功演绎为西区艺术风格的音乐剧。
Following the premiere of Broadway and the U.S. tour, a major musical, “Shrek,” co-produced by Dreamworks Theatricals and Neal Street Productions, performed at the Theater Royal in London’s West End, Drury Lane) staged. As with all the adaptation of fairy tales, some changes have taken place in the details of the story and how it is narrated. The English version is more British than the original version. The performance, the hero - a Scottish cannibal monster and many fairy tale characters lead the audience through the forest, from Shrek’s swamp walk to King Fawau’s castle, line to Fiona was the dragon guardian of the tower, and then enter the palace and church. Witty and humorous script and design will be a classic fairy tale success as a Western art style musicals.
