十二世纪三十年代,大蒙古国以武力征服中原华北地区后,在汉化甚深的契丹人耶律楚材的建议下,窝阔台合罕即已颁发优待孔孟后裔的圣旨,见于山东省邹城市孟庙所存窝阔台合罕时期的圣旨碑,即“曲阜文庙免差役赋税碑”。立于蒙哥汗时期的“先师亚圣邹国公续世系图记”碑中也有优待孔孟后裔的内容。前辈学者编辑元代白话碑或曲阜、邹城元碑时对此二碑已加收录,如蔡美彪先生编著的《元代白话碑集录》(科学出版社,1955年)、骆承烈先生编著的《石头上的儒家文献》(齐鲁书社,2001年)、刘培桂先生编著的《孟子林庙历代石刻集》(齐鲁书社,2005年)皆加收录(本文引用时分别简称《集录》、《文献》、《石刻集》)。但因编撰体例,对碑
