Unconsciously, Karen Mok has debuted a full two decades. This time, she brought a jazz cover album for this memorable day. One of the selling points of this “Somewhere I Belong” is the cross-border fusion of classical Chinese instruments and modern jazz. Although the term “crossover” is no longer a novelty in the pop music world, it is the first time that Karen’s concert career has been “crossed”. Opening repertoire “Love Fo rSale” is the prelude to amazing, the guzheng and flute pavilions with Kovacs iconic voice, the perfect interpretation of the “mo” style. This also shows that although the form is Western and the singing is Western, “Somewhere I Belong” is bound to be a jazz album full of oriental charm because of Karen Mok and its Chinese elements. Cover is actually a very test of the singer singing skill things, especially for those original style and cover style very different works
