Objective: To study the correlation between APACHE Ⅱ score and levels of TNF-α, IL-1β and IL-6 in SIRS of critical patients, And explore its clinical significance. Methods: The levels of TNF-α, IL-1β and IL-6 in SIRS of 30 critically ill patients were detected by ELISA. APACHE Ⅱ scores were also measured. Results: The blood levels of TNF-α, IL-1β and IL-6 in 30 patients were significantly higher than those in normal control group (P <0.01), and positively correlated with APACHE Ⅱ score (P <0.05). Conclusion: Simultaneous detection of cytokines activity and APACHE Ⅱ score contribute to the assessment of critical illness condition and prognosis.
