To date, no reports of adverse effects of corticosteroids in preventing non-ionic contrast media have been reported. The authors began random sampling in 1988 to study their efficacy in reducing systemic toxicity of non-ionic contrast media. A total of 1155 patients were observed during the three years, of whom 101 received Omnipaque300 and 1054 received Optiray 320. These patients are divided into two groups.
