杂交鹅掌楸,也叫杂交马褂木,为木兰科、鹅掌楸属。是以中国鹅掌楸为母本、美国鹅掌楸为父本获得的人工杂交品种。此树为高大落叶乔木,树干耸立,树冠椭圆形,树皮灰褐色,枝条紫褐色。树叶与中国鹅掌楸相似,大而宽,先端截形或微凹,形如鹅掌,又似马褂,入秋时呈金黄色。盛花期5～6月,花大而美丽,在大乔木上不多见,花单生于枝顶,绿黄色,杯状,形似郁金香。果实成熟期在10月份。到目前为止未发现此树有病虫害,是优良的观赏树和行道树。其木材纹理通直,结构细致,轻而强韧,可做家具和室内装饰用材。
