We investigated the impact of lead contamination in the atmosphere on the incidence of hypertension. The respondents were male workers without occupational lead exposure in small and medium sized machinery processing enterprises, with a total of 31853 people. The living conditions and welfare benefits of the examinees were basically similar. The subjects under the age of 39 accounted for 58.4% to 72.4%.
