胡忠,1944年生于山西应县。1967年毕业于内蒙古大学。20世纪80年代步入政界。先后任包头市委秘书长,常务副市长,市长,自治区党委常委、包头市委书记,自治区党委常委、政法委书记,自治区人大常委会副主任。现任中国法学会党组成员、副会长。兼任北京当代中国书画研究会名誉会长,大写意艺术研究院院长,内蒙古中国画院院长。为中国美术家协会会员,中国书法家协会会员,中华诗词学会会员,著有《城市国有资本营运探索》,文集《实践与思考》,诗集《不尽情思》、《情满九州》,画集《百鹰图》、《胡忠中国画作品选集》、《中国书画·胡忠卷》等。
Hu Zhong, born in 1944 in Ying County, Shanxi Province. In 1967 graduated from Inner Mongolia University. Into the political 80s of the 20th century. He is a member of Chinese Artists Association, a member of Chinese Calligraphers Association and a member of Chinese Poetry Society.
