在漫长的历史进程中,饮食文化逐渐展现出一个民族的特质和精神追求,而食器则是饮食文化的重要载体和特殊表现。食器,即用于分发或摄取食物的器皿和用具,是在人类结束茹毛饮血、从生食进入熟食阶段才出现的。在中国,食器经过原始陶器、青铜器、漆器三个阶段,发展至瓷器时代,达到鼎盛。不同历史时期的食器造型,反映了当时人们的审美情趣,也浓缩着时代特征。
