我省的化学工业,如熬火硝、制土械、燒硫磺等有悠久的历史。解放后,又增加了一些小葯厂、輕化工厂。据1957年底統計,全省有34个化工企业。但是,絕大多数都是加工工业,除了郑州农葯厂、开封制葯厂有一些机器設备以外,几乎全是手工业生产,职工队伍很小,产品品种还不到20种,基础十分薄弱;真正的較大規模的化学工业的建設
The chemical industry in our province has a long history of burning fire, burning soil, burning sulfur and so on. After the liberation, they added some small pharmaceutical factories and light chemical factories. According to statistics by the end of 1957, the province has 34 chemical companies. However, most of them are processing industries. Except for Zhengzhou Pesticide Factory and some machinery and equipment of Kaifeng Pharmaceutical Factory, almost all of them are handicraft production.
