力洋古名沥阳,取“苍山之麓,沥水之阳”而得名。唐贞元初(785年)有山西致仕太守单道乾一家还乡定居于力洋圆通寺,始有力洋,距今1200余年。1958年宁海、象山两县合并为宁象县时,是县政府所在地。力洋镇背山面海,东南靠胡陈港,西南临三门湾,北依盖仓山,地域广袤,土地肥沃,民风淳朴,生态资源和人文资源丰富,是宁海东部的人文荟萃之地、旅游之区和商贸重镇,先后被评为国家级生态镇和全县首个省级卫生镇。
Liyang ancient name Leiyang, take “Cangshan foothills, Lax Yang” and named.
