柿绒蚧又名柿绒粉蚧、柿棉蚧,属同翅目,粉蚧科或绒蚧科。是广西柿树主要虫害。以若虫和雌虫喜群集在柿树嫩枝、幼叶和果实与柿蒂相接的缝隙处吸食汁液,常使果实提前软化脱落,降低产量和品质。被害柿树轻者引起落花落果,重者枝条枯死,甚至全株死亡。柿绒蚧在广西一年可发生5～6代,以若虫在枝干粗皮下和树皮裂缝中越冬。次年3月柿树发芽展叶时,若虫从枝干爬到叶片上固定为害。3月上中旬变为成虫,下旬产卵,卵经10天左右孵化为若虫,为害嫩枝、嫩叶,5月下旬～6月上旬出现第一代成虫,并进入产卵盛期。6月中旬为第二代若虫孵化盛期,7月上旬出现第二代成虫。7月中旬产卵、7月下旬发生第三代若虫,8月上旬仍以若虫为主,8月下旬第三代成虫盛发。9月上旬为第四代卵期、9月中旬进入盛卵期,9月下旬若虫孵化、10月上旬为第四代若虫期,10月中旬出现第四代成虫,10月下旬成虫盛发,11月上旬为第五代卵期,11月中下旬为若虫期,11月下旬末为若虫盛发,并以此代若虫越冬。
