Mechanical ventilation is increasingly used in today’s critically ill patients, with a consequent increase in the incidence of ventilator-associated pneumonia (VAP). VAP can prolong tracheal intubation time and hospital stay, increase mortality, increase medical costs, increase complications, so reducing the incidence of VAP has become an important issue. Aggregation therapy is now a research topic to prevent VAP.
