水平槽回土工程及其快速造林是一种工程与生物措施密切结合治理荒山的有效措施.干旱和水土流失是导致广大山区植被破坏和生态环境恶化的主要自然因素.同时也是恢复山区生态平衡和进行造林种草的主要限制因子,成了水土保持综合治理工作中急待解决的主要问题之一.从1985年起,我们在辽宁西部喀左县半干旱的低山丘陵区,进行了5.4万亩的水平槽工程整地造林生产性试验,造林成活率与保存率平均达到93.4%,比鱼鳞坑提高67.3%,试验获得了圆满成功.这对半干旱山区的荒山治理工作具有着广泛的生产意义和参考价值.
