1989年12月28日,广东中山威力洗衣机厂荣获国家一级企业称号,成为全国同行业第一个也是全省同行业第一个获此殊荣的企业。这个厂的年产量、产值、完成利税和全员劳动生产率连续五年居全国同行业前列。为什么在短短的几年内,这个厂能奇迹般地发展壮大?人们可以提出诸多原因,然而,最根本的一点就在于这个厂有一个廉洁奉公、以身作则的领导班子。“要职工做的,自己先做”——这就是他们的座右铭。
