通过数据挖掘、GIS可视化及复杂网络技术发现:其一,中国(美国)各省(州)毗邻的省数(州数)近似符合Gaussian分布,且中国(美国)任一省(州),最有可能毗邻四个省(州),等等。其二,在地理空间上,中国总GDP呈现东高西低的带状聚集,美国呈现外高内低的圈层聚集;中美的地形分布分别为左提的W型和底部存在诸小峰的U型;在总GDP地形空间上,中美分别呈现“五条高原带和五条盆地带交错分布”及“外围高原带和内陆盆地带”的空间经济格局。其三,中美人均GDP的空间分布分别呈现带状和团状分布,人均GDP的经济地形分布都呈现底部存在诸多小峰的U型分布,且在如今人均GDP的地形空间上,中美分别呈现“四大盆地带和三大高原带交错分布”与“外围高原带和内陆盆地带”的空间格局,中美区域经济分别在高低水位差距上趋于均衡。其四,与美国各州与毗邻各州的收入差距相比,中国各省与毗邻各省的收入差距较大,且东部比西部大;美国与中国相同的是,差距大的沿外围分布,差距小的倾向在内陆分布;其五,中国各省与毗邻各省的关联度高且呈现外低内高的圈层分布,美国则呈现东北、东南及西南部较高,中北部较低的性状,即外高内低的圈层分布。
