早春二月,2006年全省民委工作会议在昆明召开。虽然是每年一次的年度工作会议,但是由于今年是“十一五”的开局之年,所以会议十分引人关注。副省长李汉柏、省政协副主席管国忠和16个州市分管民族工作的领导、省委民族工作领导小组成员单位以及省直有关部门的领导出席了会议,16个州市民委(民宗局)和129个县(市、区)民委(民宗局)的负责人参加了会议,参会人员达400多人,是继1998年之后规模最大的一次民委工作会议。会上,李汉柏副省长代表省委、省政府作了重要讲话,省民委格桑顿珠主任作了工作报告。会议在对“十五”期间我省民族工作和民委工作认真总结回顾的基础上,从全面落实科学发展观、全面建设小康社会、构建社会主义和谐社会的战略高度,着眼于全省工作大局和中央、省民族工作会议所提出的任务以及民委工作职责,对2006年的民族工作作出了重要部署,提出一系列新的要求。准确领会这次会议的新意图,掌握新信息,把握新要点,对“十一五”期间民族工作起好步、开好局至关重要。

On the basis of a careful review of the work on ethnic affairs and the work of the CPC Central Committee during the “Tenth Five-year Plan” period, the meeting proceeded from the strategic perspective of fully implementing the scientific outlook on development, building an overall well-to-do society and building a harmonious socialist society, The tasks proposed by the Central and Provincial Ethnic Work Conference and the responsibilities of the MCA have made important arrangements for the nation’s work in 2006 and put forward a series of new requirements. Accurately understanding the new intention of this meeting, grasping new information and grasping new points of view are of great importance to the national construction work during the 11th “Five-Year” period.
