In accordance with Chairman Mao’s “Development of Mining” directive, in order to provide mines with better medium and deep hole mining rock drilling equipment, the Nanjing Combat Machinery Plant, the Changsha Institute of Mines, the Hebei Copper Mine, and the Bozhong Copper Mine form a three-combination trial team. After more than three years of repeated practice and two major improvements, the trial successfully produced the first batch of external rotary guide rock drills in China. In August 1974, it was identified by a machine department and was classified as a stereotyped product.
